Sprayer Seal and Chemical Compatibility Chart
This chart rates 87 chemicals and trade products for pressure sprayers, so you can choose the right sprayer and seal before you buy. Every rating comes from a named manufacturer document or data sheet. Where the sources do not rate a chemical, or disagree, the chart says so and tells you to ask us. It does not guess.
Safety note. Guidance only. Compatibility depends on the exact product, its strength, the temperature and how long it stays in the sprayer. Check the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and ask us before you buy.
How to read this chart
Pressure sprayers are built for a family of chemicals, not one. Acid and solvent models both use VITON (FKM) seals, but they are different builds. An acid sprayer is not rated for petroleum solvents, and a solvent sprayer is not rated for acids. EPDM sprayers cover alkalis, bleach, glycol brake fluid and methanol.

Rating key. Suitable a manufacturer rates a standard sprayer for it, within the strength shown. Conditional a standard sprayer works only within limits, or the sources differ, so we confirm the model with you. Ask us no source rates a standard sprayer for it.
Temperature. Klager operating instructions (02/2026): do not fill liquids hotter than 30 °C into its sprayers. Ask us about warmer liquids.
