A bleach resistant sprayer is built and rated as a whole unit for sodium hypochlorite: the Klager and Gloria bleach models pair VITON (FKM) seals with bleach resistant parts, and EPDM sealed sprayers are also rated for bleach and chlorine. The manufacturers specify the spring as well as the seals, so buy a unit sold and rated for bleach rather than a standard sprayer. The same goes for any chlorine sprayer.

Two ways to handle bleach
Dedicated bleach models. The Klager 1.2L Bleach Resistant and the Gloria PRO 500 JET Bleach Resistant use VITON (FKM) seals with bleach resistant parts. Klager's labels warn against using its bleach sprayers for petroleum based solutions, acids, alkalis or mixed chemicals, so keep them for bleach and chlorine.
EPDM sprayers. General compatibility charts favour EPDM for sodium hypochlorite, and Klager rates its EPDM sealed 1.2L Alkaline Resistant for bleach and chlorine up to 12.5 per cent. That model is built for caustics, so if caustic cleaners are your main job, see our alkaline resistant sprayers.
