Pick the capacity to the job
3 to 5L for lighter, frequent work; 8L when you want fewer refills. Poly is the right choice for acids, bleach and caustics, because they attack the brass and stainless steel parts of a stainless sprayer. Match the build to the chemical: the Gloria PRO 500 JET Acid Resistant (VITON seals and acid resistant parts) for acids, the Gloria CLEAN 500 (EPDM) for caustics and bleach, and the Gloria PRO 500 JET Bleach Resistant for chlorine. The standard PRO 500 and PRO 8 have VITON seals for formwork oil and most solvent based liquids, but not acetone. For small solvent jobs, a Klager solvent resistant bottle is handy. Yes, with the right build. Poly or stainless?
Poly for acids (Gloria PRO 500 JET Acid Resistant), bleach (PRO 500 JET Bleach Resistant) and caustics (CLEAN 500), because strong acids and alkalis attack brass and stainless steel parts. Stainless (Gloria 505TK or 510TK) for formwork oil, sealers, degreasers and most petroleum based liquids, when you want a tough tank that runs up to 6 bar off a workshop air line.
Can I use a poly pressure sprayer for solvents?
Yes. The standard PRO 500 and PRO 8 have VITON seals for most solvent based liquids, such as kerosene, turpentine, xylene and degreasers. They are not for acetone. For small jobs, a Klager solvent resistant bottle also works.
