Klager has been building refillable pressure sprayers in Germany since 1949, and the refill-first principle has not changed since. You fill the sprayer from the concentrate or the drum you already bought, rather than buying the chemical and its container together and binning both.

Klager sets the range against one-use technical aerosols and disposable trigger bottles. That positioning is the reason the engineering runs the way it does: a bottle, a head and a pump that all come apart, with a seal specification chosen for the liquid going in.

Repair rather than replace, and who holds the parts

Klager makes every component of its sprayers available as an original spare part, so a failed unit is usually a repair job. In Klager's own words, a broken pressure sprayer can simply be repaired.

That only helps if someone local holds the parts. As the exclusive Australia and New Zealand distributor, NORA PRO carries genuine Klager parts and seal kits in VITON and EPDM, covering the items that actually wear out: seals, pump O-rings, pumps, triggers, lances and nozzles. A perished seal means a seal kit rather than a new sprayer. Anything outside the stocked lines is ordered from the factory, so tell us the model and the part and we will confirm what is here and what has to come in.

Klager's foaming units sit under foamers and foam injectors and are supported the same way.

How a Klager sprayer is meant to be run

Fill the bottle to the scale, leaving an air buffer above the liquid, then charge it with around 30 pump strokes. A pressure relief valve limits the container to 3 or 4 bar depending on the model, and no liquid hotter than 30 degrees C should go in. Those figures are Klager's, for their own pump sprayers.

What happens at the end of the job decides how long the seals last.

• Decant leftover chemical back into its original container. Do not store it in the sprayer.
• Rinse the unit through with clean water, lance and nozzle included.
• Grease the pump piston O-ring, and use silicone oil only on EPDM seals. Petroleum-based greases swell EPDM and destroy it.
• Store it depressurised, out of heat, cold and direct sunlight.

Matching the seal to your chemical, and Klager's Chemical Application Center

VITON (FKM) is the seal for acids and petroleum solvents. EPDM is the seal for bleach, caustics, alkalis and ketones such as acetone and MEK, but not for petroleum solvents. Get that right and most jobs need nothing more. It is the ground acid-resistant sprayers and solvent-resistant sprayers sit on.

Where the liquid is unusual, the concentration is high, the temperature is up, or a wrong answer stops a line, Klager runs a Chemical Application Center at the factory in Germany. Applications engineers, spray technology specialists and PhD chemists test materials against a customer's actual liquid and then recommend the resistance version to use. The work runs from 14 days to 24 months, using immersion tests and practical tests on assembled components.

The laboratory is Klager's. NORA PRO has no lab and no chemists, and we cannot commit to a turnaround on testing that can take months. What the distributor relationship gives us is access. Send the SDS, the working concentration, the temperature, and how long the chemical sits in the sprayer between uses, and we will put it to the manufacturer. That last detail is the one people leave out, and it matters, because a seal that shrugs off an hour of contact can behave differently after a full bottle stands over a long weekend.

How Klager manufactures, and whose credentials these are

Klager manufactures under the DIN 14001 environmental management standard and has run its German factory on 100 percent renewable electricity since 1 January 2021. Those are the manufacturer's credentials, set out here with the attribution they belong to.

• Certification. Klager holds DIN 14001 environmental management, audited internally and externally.
• Electricity. Klager's German factory has run on 100 percent renewable Scandinavian hydro electricity since 1 January 2021.
• Production waste. Klager regrinds its own production waste into granulate and puts it back into new bottles and components.
• Biodegradable option. Klager offers a 100 percent biodegradable fill container made from renewable raw materials, on request.

None of that belongs to NORA PRO. We hold no environmental certification, we generate no renewable electricity, and we make no claim about the carbon footprint of freight inside Australia. Reading the list above as ours would be a false environmental claim.

What NORA PRO can say in its own voice is narrower. This equipment is built to be refilled and repaired, and we hold the seal kits and spare parts in Australia so it can be repaired here. Fitting a seal kit puts a working sprayer back into service instead of sending a repairable unit to landfill. That is why parts and seal kits sit on this site as a range of their own.
