An acid-resistant sprayer is one fitted with VITON (FKM) seals and acid-rated wetted parts, so it holds pressure against descalers, rust removers, brick and concrete cleaners and acid sanitisers instead of perishing. Put a strong acid through a standard nitrile or EPDM seal and it swells and leaks fast. VITON is what makes the difference.

Which acids, which build

VITON handles the common trade acids: hydrochloric (brick and concrete cleaners), phosphoric (rust and scale removers), sulphuric and most acid sanitisers. For hot or aggressive acids, pair VITON seals with a stainless tank rather than poly.
