The Lafferty Model 20SS Bypass is a stainless steel airless foam and spray system that runs off a pressure washer, applying two different chemicals and then rinsing at full pressure from the same trigger gun. There is no compressor and no air line: the foam wand draws atmospheric air as the water passes through it, giving a wet foam that clings to vertical surfaces.

Application fields

What it is for

Truck, fleet and heavy plant washdown, food processing and plant sanitising, and two chemical foam cleaning and rinsing from a pressure washer. Two chemical pickups, each on its own ball valve, let you run an alkaline detergent and an acid brightener from the one unit, or two strengths of the same chemical. Lafferty rates the dilution at 7:1 and leaner.

Wetted components are built for chemical service, but concentrations and temperatures vary, so confirm your chemicals against the SDS and send the product details through to us.

How it works

It suits pressure washers that deliver 13 to 21 litres per minute at 69 bar (1,000 PSI) or more. A venturi injector draws each chemical through an interchangeable metering tip and blends it into the water, and no chemical passes through the washer pump. Quick connect the airless foam wand for clinging foam, using the fan nozzle for wide coverage up close or the zero degree nozzle to throw foam up to 7.6 m. For a chemical that should not foam, quick connect the spray nozzle instead.

To rinse, move the bypass valve across and fit your washer's own wand and nozzle to the gun. Rinse runs at full volume and pressure, with no need to disconnect the injector.

What is in the box

This is part number 07 969752, supplied as the stainless steel base with the injector, bypass and chemical valves, 20 colour coded metering tips, plus the airless foam wand and spray nozzle. The trigger gun and discharge hose are optional and are not included with this model. Tell us your washer flow when you request a quote and we will confirm the metering tip.
