A concrete remover sprayer is an acid resistant sprayer with VITON (FKM) seals and acid resistant parts, built to apply concrete and cement removers, brick cleaning acid and descalers without the seals failing. Brick and concrete acid washes are usually hydrochloric acid based, and our dataset rates the acid sprayers for hydrochloric acid up to 10%. Above that, ask us.

The range runs from the Klager 1.2L and 1.5L Acid Resistant spray bottles (NORA PRO is the exclusive Australia and New Zealand distributor of Klager) and the Gloria PRO 500 JET Acid Resistant 5.0L poly sprayer, up to Flojet and Meclube air driven acid sprayers. These ratings are Klager's and apply to the Klager models. The Gloria PRO 500 JET Acid Resistant shares the VITON seal but is a different build, so check its data sheet or ask us. Follow the chemical maker's label and SDS for dilution and PPE, and see the full Chemical Compatibility Guide.

Bottle, tank, foam or air driven

  • Spot work and mortar smears: a Klager 1.2L or 1.5L Acid Resistant bottle. The 1.5L works at 4 bar with an ErgoGrip handle for continuous use.
  • Brick walls and slabs: the Gloria PRO 500 JET Acid Resistant holds 5.0L in a 7.0L tank, with an acid resistant trigger valve, a plastic lance and a PVDF nozzle fitted by NORA PRO.
  • Vertical faces that need contact time: the Lafferty Acid LC Foamers run on mains water and compressed air, apply acid at up to 3.5 to 1 and throw foam up to 3.7 m. The two way version runs two acids, or two strengths, from one wall station. For a hand pumped acid foamer, ask us about the Klager Foamya Acid.
  • Precast yards and site volume: the Flojet wall mount box sprayer runs a G57 double diaphragm pump with VITON elastomers, its regulator preset at 4 bar for acid work. The Meclube sprayer sprays premixed solution straight from an IBC.

One caution: Washfoam pump up foamers have EPDM or NBR seals, so they are not rated for hydrochloric acid. EPDM is rated for phosphoric and citric acid up to 30%.

Common questions

What sprayer do I need for concrete remover?

An acid resistant sprayer with VITON (FKM) seals and acid resistant parts, such as the Klager 1.2L Acid Resistant or the Gloria PRO 500 JET Acid Resistant. Check the main acid and its strength on the SDS, and ask us above 10% hydrochloric.

Can I use these sprayers for brick cleaning acid?

Yes. Brick and paving acid wash is a standard job for the acid resistant sprayers. It is usually hydrochloric acid based, so up to 10% is rated and above that you should ask us.

Can I foam a concrete remover?

Yes, with an acid rated foamer such as the Lafferty Acid LC Foamers, which apply acid at up to 3.5 to 1. For hand foaming, ask us about the Klager Foamya Acid. EPDM foamers only suit phosphoric or citric based removers up to 30%.

Should I use a stainless steel sprayer for acid?

No. The pump up acid sprayers here are poly with VITON seals and acid resistant parts. The stainless Gloria 505TK is not for acids.

Do you sell cement sprayers for spraying concrete?
